This brush roller peeler features all food-grade nylon rollers, which use soft friction combined with a high-pressure water spray system to gently remove dirt and skin from the taro surface. Although the machine does not use silicon carbide rollers, the nylon configuration proved sufficient for the texture of local taro varieties in Fiji—offering effective peeling while protecting the flesh from damage. It’s an ideal setup for small to medium-scale processing operations.
Currently, the machine has been fully deployed in the customer’s facility, with a processing capacity that meets their daily production needs (several hundred kilograms per hour). The machine also performs well in terms of operational stability and ease of maintenance.
